| Short description | First press in laminated sleeve. 1969 UK 'Earliest' 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Orange CBS label. This is was Santanas 1st LP ever (and is their rarest by far!. But what makes this LP special, is that it is the 'earliest' 1st pressing ever made - with an impossibly rare laminated cover. This album sold terribly on release back in 1969, and it was only later on in the early 1970s (when Santana became far more popular) that most copies of this LP were sold. But by that time of course, this LP had completely changed and was a much poorer quality . This LP was originally released in the UK in late 1969 - but didnt hit the uk charts until may 1970 - but of course by then the covers were unlaminated and the vinyl was much thinner. This means that finding a 100% genuine 1969 UK 'earliest' 1st pressing with a laminated cover and thick quality vinyl is almost impossible
