| Short description | Original UK 1st press. Aligned apple on cover reverse. No Her Majesty on the label. There is an on-going argument which are the “first” Apple pressing of the Abbey Road album. The earliest known matrixes of the LP (stereo only– it was the first Beatles album which did not have mono version) are YEX 749 – 2 / YEX 750 -1. All variants of the LPs with these matrix’s numbers are, in fact, the first pressings. The question is which are the earliest. Most common approach is to consider that misaligned Apple was an error which was later corrected, therefore, these sleeves, which are much rarer, should be considered as the earliest. In respect of presence of "Her Majesty" credit on the side 2 label: it is said that this was an innovative "secret" track at the end of the record, and, therefore it would not originally be intended to be mentioned but appeared on later pressed records. This conclusion can be backed up by our own observation that the earliest stamper numbers of YEX 749 – 2 / YEX 750 -1 matrixes appear on those LPs which do not have the "Her Majesty" credit
