| Short description | The Wizards from Kansas were an obscure -psych rock band from Kansas. Mercury Records recorded their eponymous debut album in San Francisco in July-August of 1970 The band was around since 1968 and by 1970 evolved into an exceptionally versatile and skilled outfit, which played unique blend of hypnotizing dreamy psychedelia not without hippie and West Coast influence. Apart from covers of cult "High Flying Bird" (B.Wheeler), "Codine" (Buffy Sainte-Marie) and "All Along the Watchtower" (Dylan), "Wizards" recorded their own tightly woven compositions with vocal harmonies far superior than those of bigger names. The original album didn't make it into the charts, , but as it turned out to be too good to miss, later it was heavily pirated both on vinyl and CDs. The offered vinyl audiophile re-issue album includes all the material from the original album plus other compositions. Marvelous!
