| Short description | After his departure from Deram, Cat Stevens signed for Island records and this was his first on his new label. Now sounding very different with more ‘darker’ material, this was the first of a string of superb albums and eventually they sold well. But initial sales of this album were disappointing and it failed to even chart on the UK. Hence pink originals and the early-pressed pink rims are rare and again vastly underpriced in the price guides. Beautiful material, performances and production, this is a high-in-demand album. It includes the wonderful ‘Lady D’Arbanville’ and the sublime ‘Katmandu’ on which Peter Gabriel, then of Genesis, plays flute
